Correction Policy

Our data should be accurate and current. If something looks wrong, tell us — corrections from appliance technicians and owners make the site better for everyone.

How to report an error

Email corrections@applianceworth.com. Please include:

  • The page URL where you saw the issue
  • The brand, appliance type and full model number
  • What is incorrect and what the correct information is
  • A source or your first-hand technician experience, if available (you may mask the last digits of any serial number)

How we review corrections

Every report is read by our editorial team and, for technical matters, checked by a practicing appliance technician. If the correction is confirmed, we update the page and refresh its “last reviewed” date. If we cannot confirm it, we may add a note about the uncertainty or lower the stated confidence rather than publish an unverified claim.

Response time

We aim to acknowledge correction reports within two business days. Safety-related reports are prioritized. Complex technical corrections may take longer while we verify against service documentation and field experience.

Confidence & scope

Appliance codes and serial-number formats vary by platform and production period, and some date codes repeat across decades. Where a rule is uncertain, we label it with a confidence level and a model-number caution instead of presenting it as definitive. See our methodology and editorial policy for details.
