What this code means
The dishwasher is not detecting a complete heating circuit. On many Bosch designs, the heater is integrated with the circulation or heat-pump assembly.
Most likely causes
- An open heating element inside the heat-pump assembly
- A loose, burned or broken heater connection
- A failed relay or power-module output
- A wiring fault between the power module and heater
Safe checks for the owner
- Stop using the dishwasher if there is a burning smell, tripped breaker or overheated wiring.
- Confirm the hot-water supply is available and note whether dishes remain cold and wet.
- Disconnect power for several minutes and retry once; do not repeatedly run unheated cycles.
Estimated U.S. repair cost
$450–$850, depending on model, access, parts availability and local labor.
