Symptoms
- Dishes remain wet or soiled at the end of a cycle
- Standing water may be visible in the tub base, and the unit may pause partway through the drain phase
Most likely causes
- A kinked, blocked or incorrectly installed drain hose
- Debris in the filter, pump cover, pump inlet or backflow valve
- A loose or missing drain-pump cover
- A blocked household disposer, air gap or sink connection
Diagnostic logic
If the drain hose has a visible high loop or air gap and water still fails to clear, a clogged filter or pump is more likely than an installation issue. If the drain hose is flat, kinked or lacks a proper loop, correcting the installation should be tried before any parts replacement.
