What this code means
The washer did not detect enough incoming water during the fill portion of the cycle. IE usually begins with the home water supply, hoses and inlet screens, not the electronic control.
Most likely causes
- One or both supply valves are closed or household water pressure is low
- A fill hose is kinked, pinched, frozen or fitted with an incompatible automatic shutoff device
- Mineral buildup or debris is restricting the inlet-valve screens
- A leaking pressure-sensor tube, failed inlet valve, wiring problem or control fault
Safe checks for the owner
- Confirm that both hot and cold supply valves are fully open, even when a cycle mainly uses cold water.
- Inspect the hoses behind the washer for crushing or sharp bends and verify that water flows from the home valves.
- Turn off the home water, unplug the washer and clean the inlet screens without damaging or removing them permanently.
